The Heart of Blurt: Communities

Blurt is a network of diverse communities. Joining a group helps you find your audience, gain visibility, and grow your influence. However, every "home" has its rules.

Targeted Audience

Post directly where people love your topic, whether it's photography, tech, or travel.

Better Support

Dedicated community curators look for high-quality posts within their niche to reward them.

Global Networking

Build relationships with creators worldwide who share your specific interests.

⚠️ Rules, Moderation & Muting

Respect the House Rules!

While the Blurt blockchain is uncensored and your post stays on the chain forever, community moderators have the right to keep their specific "feed" clean. If you violate rules, you will be "Muted" within that community.

What leads to a Mute?
  • Plagiarism: Posting content that isn't yours.
  • Spamming: Posting the same content or links repeatedly.
  • Off-Topic: Posting content that doesn't fit the group's theme.
  • Abuse: Harassment or hate speech against members.
The Consequences
  • Your post becomes invisible in the community feed.
  • You will likely not receive rewards from that group.
  • Repeat offenders may be permanently blacklisted by the community.
Tags (#) vs. Community IDs
Using Tags (#)

Global categories like #blurt or #nature. Great for general discovery.

Community Accounts (blurt-xxxxxx)

Formal groups with moderators and specific subscribers. Always check their sidebar for rules!

How to get involved

  • 1. Search: Use the "Communities" tab on your favorite Blurt frontend.
  • 2. Join: Subscribe to see their posts in your personal home feed.
  • 3. Engage: Leave meaningful comments before you start posting your own links.
  • 4. Delegate: Support your favorite groups by delegating a portion of your BP.
Pro Tip

Quality over Quantity! One thoughtful post in the right community is worth more than ten "link-dumps" in the wrong place.
